Her name is Kaylin, she is what I like to call my mini-me. Everyone has told us we look alot alike. If they saw pictures of me when I was younger they would really see the resemblance. Kaylin has always been a wonderful child. School has always come naturally for her and she has never had any problems until this year. Now I don't expect perfection from my kids but when I see a big difference or change in my kids grades I want to get to the bottom of it. She has always been and Honor Roll Student or even straight A Student. She is in 4th grade now and has had some grades I have never seen before. A few c's and even a d. I am not totally concerned it just makes me wonder what is going on. This year she has 2 teachers. In one class she does really well, the teacher has nothing but great things to say about her. The other class I have never heard one word from her teacher. I have met her once and she seemed almost bothered to have to take time to say hello to me. Never really thought much of it until now.....
Kaylin has been having stomach problems. The problems have increased this year. She gets sick and weak feeling. I have received several calls from the school nurse saying she is sick. It always seems to happen about the same time during the day, right after lunch, which is right before she goes into this other class. So this leads me to wonder if something is going on in that particular class. This morning I have scheduled a doctor's appt to try and rule out the fact that she really is sick,or something is wrong internally. With only 5 weeks left in school, there isn't much we can do. But it is definitely not going away and with the frequency increasing I am growing more concerned. Please say a prayer for her this morning that the doctors will be able to figure out what is troubling her.

My guess it's a teacher relationship thing or a bully. Matt had similar symptoms in 4th grade as well(not so much the grades) and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. that is until a boy who was really competitive with Matt asked another student to bring a knife to school to "stab Matt". Come to find out he had been torturing Matt- hitting him when no one was looking, threatening him because he wanted to be better than Matt. Eventually the admin. found out and the issue was addressed. Does K have a cell phone or FB or MySpace? Check stuff like that to give you some insight. also, K is sort of reserved and wouldn't want to "bother you" with stuff, so she isn't gonna tell you.
