November Thankful

does it even fit into the year anymore?

It seems like stores want us to go straight from October to December! Maybe they are starting early to help remind us that the economy is weak, and we need to start preparing now for Christmas? It is just so sad, because to me it is one of the most important holidays there is..... Why? you might ask?

Because sadly enough most of us need the reminder to be thankful. We may say Thank God it's Friday, or Thank God I am going on vacation. But how often are we thankful for our groceries? our job? our healthy children? our home? our drivable car? There are so many things to be thankful for. We were asked today to (in our free time) make a list of 100 things we are thankful for, and although I am writing each day on Facebook what I am thankful for I wanted to do this task as well. I am beginning this list now at 11:21 at night wonder how long it will take to get to 100?

1. I am thankful Mike will not deploy this year.
2. I am thankful for being invited to Mom to Mom.
3. I am thankful for my children, each one unique in their own way.
4. I am thankful for being able to stay home as a homemaker.
5. I am thankful for my hard working husband.
6. I am thankful for how romantic my husband is and the rose I found in my car on Monday.
7. I am thankful for 2 brothers whom I love dearly.
8. I am thankful for parents who believed in each other and never gave up when times got rough.
9. I am thankful for my Nana, who gave me many memories to last a lifetime.
10. I am thankful for our weekend get aways.
11. I am thankful for my friends I can call on any time and any where.
12. I am thankful for cousins who keep me in stitches when ever they are around.
13. I am thankful that one of my best friends married my cousin!
14. I am thankful for 88.1 The Promise, for spiritual Godly Radio.
15. I am thankful for a full pantry.
16. I am thankful for not having to run my AC right now.
17. I am thankful God blessed me with such a giving heart.
18. I am thankful when God humbles me.
19. I am thankful I was able to be here in Florida these last few years especially the ones I got to spend with my granny before she passed.
20. I am thankful I get to volunteer at the school.
21. I am thankful for getting to see other parts of the country while traveling with Mike, in the Navy.
22. I am thankful for 4 healthy pregnancies.
23. I am Thankful for the positive people in my life.
24. I am thankful for neighbors I can rely on.
25. I am thankful for my beautiful nephew Breylan. :)
26. I am thankful for the Golden Girls..... I know it's silly!
27. I a thankful for God's word.
28. I am thankful for the days off I get to spend with Mike.
29. I am thankful for the mute button, so I don't have to listen to this SNUGGI commerical!!!
30. I am thankful for our freedoms here in America.
31. I am thankful Mike will be changing jobs soon.
32. I am thankful for being able to make the trip up to North Carolina.
33. I am thankful for forgiving friends,cause I tend to screw up a lot!!!
34. I am thankful for Coupons!
35. I am thankful for thrift stores.
36. I am thankful for hand me downs!
37. I am thankful for the good deal we got on our rental home.
38. I am thankful that our electricity bill is finally going down.
39. I am thankful that silly giggle still fill my house.
40. I am thankful Mike has a stable job.
41. I am thankful for the lessons God has taught me this year and the ones he continues to work on me with.
42. I am thankful for my laptop, even if it can't keep a charge and the cord is crazy loose! :(

44. I am thankful for the friends that are always there, the ones that aren't close but I know I could call on them if I needed something.

82. I am thankful that for the most part I am healthy, nothing a little TLC cant fix!

IT is amazing the things that will come to mind, the memories that will flodd your mind, present and past! Maybe take a minute to do this yourself maybe even if it is just once a day for the rest of the month! Remember the true spirit of Thanksgiving!
