Can I make you a Treat?

Right now I have more time on my hands then I know what to do with, it's sad! I put off cleaning the house just so I can say I have something to do. The laundry seems to be the only task that I actually do all day. I pick up here and there but leave little things, for the next day. A friend has a position open at her shop but I can't commit to it when I have no idea what is gonna happen with the hubby. YES, things are still up in the air with him. So, here I sit.

The greatest thing I have managed to do over the past few weeks is register for a 1-3 mile walk for Light the Night. It is an Organization that raises money for research to cure Lymphoma, here is a small blurb from their website.

Held on fall evenings in communities across the U.S. and Canada, Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's walk and fundraising event to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Thousands of participants raise funds for vital, lifesaving research and patient services and, on these special nights, they carry illuminated balloons in a show of support from a caring community.

My heart broke for a high school friend whose husband was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma. For years the couple has struggled with infertility and now another blow. She has a witty blog where she shares her ups and downs of infertility and now the ups and downs of cancer. When she posted on her Facebook page she was looking for others to join in the walk and for donations my heart couldn't resist. I went immediately to the page and signed up to be a partner in her group. My goal is to raise $100.00. Seems reasonable right? Well not so far.... which kinda makes me feel like a loser. LOL I want to do my part, I want to be able to add to what she has already collected. Her Goal was $700.00 and she is only about $150.00 away from that goal! If I could make my goal she would be even closer. So far no one has taken the first step to donate on my page. :(

So I guess it is time to think outside of the box!

One of my favorite things to make it Chocolate Covered Pretzels! They are one of my most favorite things to eat. The salt on the pretzel and the sweet of the chocolate make for a perfect combination! Buckeyes are also a favorite, some call them Peanut butter balls. Either way they are peanut butter balls dipped in Chocolate made to look like an Ohio Buckeye nut. Those are my specialties. So now that I have you salivating at that thought of chocolate, place your order! :) I know what your thinking, I really don't need those! Well now think of it this way, the money is going to a good cause! Don't just think of yourself think of others.

Anyone have a birthday coming up? Have a friend in your office that could use some cheering up? How about those teachers having a rough first week? How about the kiddo's having a long week starting school, or maybe you just want some goodies for yourself. If you are our of town I will ship. I will do pretty much anything to reach the goal I set for myself. So I am reaching out to you, my people, the ones who follow my blog and know my heart. Please email or call me. Thanks.

If you would like to donate directly to the site here is the link:
