She is my baby, my last child to go to school. When I think about an empty home, I can't help but wonder what I will do when they are all gone. The job market stinks right now and being a stay at home mom for 12 years has left me less qualified than others. Well in most people's opinions anyway. :)
Today we went for a Meet and Greet with the teachers and it was cool. The kids are all excited about there teachers and are ready to go back to school. The long hot summer has left them more than unsatisfied. Florida is on a streak of 20 days with 90degrees or hotter weather. Even the pool water feels like bathing in a bowl of hot soup. I guess the kids would rather learn than be this bored!!! ha ha
Kaylin is going to be a big 5th grader this year and she will be helping out with peer mediation. Lauren will be in first grade and has her same teacher from last year. It was cute going to MaKenna's class, Lauren (bless her heart) has always been bigger than all the other kids. The dr said the other day she is a little tall for her age. Anyway when we went to MaKenna's class Lauren says "their all small like her." I thought that was so cute. Of course she was talking about her sister, because MaKenna is just like Kaylin was skinny and little. Her teacher introduced her to another girl in her class and it was so cute because MaKenna was so shy. Of course everyone in our house knows that is not her, around here she rules the roost! She can be bossy and even demanding at times, but she's the baby so she should be right? I only hope in school she learns her boundaries and doesn't make the other girls mad.

It was a good day, I wasn't emotional at all today. Simply because I knew she was coming home with me today. Monday I am not sure how things will go, but you can be sure I will have some kleenex tucked away. It is incredibly a bitter sweet moment when your baby days are over. So I will cherish this last weekend I have with my baby, before she becomes a big Kindergartner.
