Never felt so alive and sore.

Well at least not in a very long time. I often have been asked by my friend to walk with her. It is kinda our time to catch up and get in some exercise. We usually walk about once a week if that. But this week we have been more committed. We started on Sunday evening. I was watching the Jaguar game and was kinda hesitant. I didn't want to miss the end of the game as they were (for the first time in a really long time) beating the Indianapolis Colts! I decided to go, YAY Me! For making a good choice.

It was a beautiful night and we walked the 2 miles and arrived back at our front door when she said she was gonna go again, REALLY??? OK I'll go. I ran inside to check the game real quick and it was near the end. The score was tied so I knew it might be awhile before anyone scored again. So I took off for the second leg of the walk. I told Mike to call me if they won, I love my Jags.

Anyway, we did another 2 miles and I felt great. Returned to the house and Mike had recorded the rest of the game, Yes he is awesome. The Jaguars had pulled it off and had beat the Colts. It was an awesome game, even though I missed that last winning moment it was like I had been watching the game since mike had been so kind as to record it!

The next day I walked to the school in the afternoon to pick up the girls. It is a mile and a half there and a mile and a half back for a total of 3 miles. I walked there and almost all the way back before Mike saw us and stopped to pick us up.

Tuesday I had a prior commitment so I didn't walk that night.

Today is Wednesday and we walked another 2 miles. Grand total for mid-week 8 and 1/2 miles! YAY I am so proud of both of us. It really takes commitment to do it night after night! There have been times when I say I am not gonna walk tonight I am too sore, but I always end up going. So I am hoping now it will turn into more of a routine. If I could do at least the 2 miles everyday that would be 14 at the end of the week. My hopes are high but I legs are getting more sore each day. My shins are what bother me the most so any advice would be welcomed. My feet are sore I think I need a better pair of walking shoes?

Anyway I feel great, I can feel myself getting more energized. I have also noticed I am sleeping more sound at night which is the biggest blessing of all.
